“당신과 결혼하면 나는 판자촌에서 살아도 행복할 것 같다?”
한창 사랑할 때는 남녀가 그런 환상에 빠질 수 있다.
하지만 잠깐 있다가 사라지는 안개처럼 그런 느낌은 머지않아 사그러지는 것을 부인할 사람은 없다.
그렇다면 느낌이 약해질 때 무엇이 우리로 하여금 그럼에도 불구하고 상대를 사랑하게 하는 에너지인가?
우리를 만드신 후에 하나님은 이렇게 평가하셨다.
“보기에 심히 좋았더라.” 그 말은 하나님이 의도한 대로 우리가 창조되었다는 뜻이다.
우리 눈에는 잘 생긴 사람, 못 생긴 사람이 있다. 하지만 하나님의 눈에는 모든 사람이 보기에 좋은 자다.
예수님의 피로 목욕된 자는 하나님이 보기에 천국 미인과 미남이다.
우리가 남을 보고 어떻게 느끼든 하나님의 평가가 옳다.
모든 사람은 그의 보시기에 좋은 존귀한 자들이다.
Is Everyone Really Beautiful?
"Would I be happy even living in a shack as long as I’m with you?" During the height of romance, people might fall into such illusions. But no one can deny that those feelings,
like mist that briefly appears and then vanishes, will eventually fade away.
So, what gives us the energy to continue loving the other person even when those feelings weaken?
After creating us, God looked at His creation and said, "It is very good." This means that we were created exactly as He intended.
In our eyes, there are attractive people and unattractive people.
But in God’s eyes, everyone is good.
Those who have been washed by the blood of Jesus are seen as heavenly beauties in God's sight. No matter how we may feel when looking at others, God's judgment is correct.
Every person is precious and good in His sight.
