재탕해도 좋은 것 ? !!!
아무리 좋은 강의도 반복적으로 들으면 지루해진다.
아무리 좋은 충고도 거듭 듣다 보면 듣기 싫어진다.
복음은 다르다. 예수님의 인격과 사역에 관해 듣는 것은 결코 지루하지 않다.
왜냐하면 그것이 우리의 인생을 송두리째 뒤바꾼 진리이기 때문이다.
그리스도께서 십자가에 못 박힌 것과 그의 부활을 통해 하나님이 우리에게 주신 구원은
아무리 듣고 또 들어도 지루할 수 없다. 만약 지속적으로 복음에 대한 싫증과 거부 반응이 난다면
그것은 우리 영혼이 심각하게 병들었거나 혹은 우리 안에 하나님의 생명이 없다는 증거다.
Something That Never Gets Old
No matter how good a lecture is, if you hear it repeatedly, it becomes boring.
No matter how good advice is, if you hear it again and again,
it becomes something you don’t want to hear anymore.
The gospel is different. Hearing about the person and work of Jesus Christ is never boring, because it is the truth that has completely transformed our lives.
The salvation God has given us through Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection can never become tiresome, no matter how often we hear it.
If we find ourselves continually weary of the gospel or resistant to it,
it is a sign that our soul is seriously ill or that the life of God is absent within us.
